I finally got to try this place on North Street. My friend ordered the Lamb dinner and said that the gravy was one of the best she had ever had - one of the highest complements that could be paid to any establishment. The veg that came with it was well cooked and presented as well. I ordered the ham, egg and chips. What arrived was two slices of ham that must have been taken from a whole gammon - as well as being thickly cut, they filled the plate. The eggs were well cooked and yolkey as well. Coffee and tea was well priced, with the whole meal coming to about €20 - good value and good food. The only criticism is that where we were sat I had a birds eye view of the window into the kitchen and could see the microwave being used quite a bit. The food however, did not reflect this and I saw some of the sandwiches that were coming out of the kitchen and they looked great (you may have guessed I do like a good sandwich). Service needs a little tweaking but that is being critical for the quality and value being received. Definite thumbs up!!
