Just about made it in before 3pm before it closed for lunch. Very quaint little pub on the seafront just outside Clonakilty. We had probably the best Seafood we have ever had, ever! We had starters of Fish Spring Rolls & Crispy Pork Belly & mains were amazing, Monkfish & Prawn Risotto perfectly cooked and a Brill, Plaice & Crab Parmesan Gratin. Fantastic food. Service was neither here not there, no one checked on our table and the staff were scruffily dressed and seemed all over the place. Paying €32 a head you'd expect a reasonable standard of service. Our bill with 2 glasses of wine, water & coffee was €77, well worth every penny, if only they could up the service...

Food here is flawless! For starters we had 1) squid slow cooked in red wine with chirizo and crouteon and 2) fish spring rolls with dipping sauce, both of which were delicious. For mains we had 1) brill and turbot with a ginger/carrott sauce and 2) hake on a kale risotto with a cream sauce. Side dishes included new potatoes and shredded cabbage. Cabbage was really tastey and spuds were devine. For dessert we shared a cranberry and chocolate torte which was beautiful! The food was completely flawless, best we've had in a long time. Including a bottle of wine and one espresso the bill came to €106 which is quite pricey, though we both thought it was very much worth it. Our only quibble was with the service; our starters arrived promptly but our mains took approx 50 mins to arrive after finishing our starters...we wouldnt have minded so much but we were really hungry. However, we'll definitely be returning again as the food experience was fantastic.

Am a regular visitor to West Cork and always try and eat in this Resturant as it's one of my favourites. Food is always excellent - fresh and locally sourced. Would highly recommend any of their fish main courses as this is what I always have. Service at times can be a little slow but the staff are always very friendly and pleasant. It can be a very expensive evening. Prices have not come down but the Early Bird Menu is great value. Try it.
