Excellent food served at Sorrento's and reasonably priced also. They offer a 3 course meal for €25 or you can also have the option of 2 courses plus a 1/4 carriff of wine - great value! The a la carte menu has a wide range of choices from the tradional garlic bread, mushrooms and a lovely homemade soup served with fresh breads. For mains, there is a wide choice of pasta's, pizzas, fish, chicken & steak, quite a broad range and everything is cooked fresh and very well presented. On this particular night i had garlic mushrooms to start followed by giant meat ravioli with a delicious mushroom sauce. My companion is a very sensitive coeliac and finds a lot of choice on sorrento's menu, he had chicken wings followed by a fantastic carbonara. Our third companion choose the €25 value menu and had soup followed by lamb chops and dessert. All 3 of us were very pleased with our choices and there is a lovely intimate ambience in the restaurant. Full marks and we will definitely be returning!

This restaurant was a real surprise. At a first glance it might look like the stereotipical Italian restaurant ouside Italy where the only Italian factor is the name of the restaurant, but it's not. The dishes served are traditional Italian dishes, not too elaborated, but prepared the traditional way (e.g. no chicken in the Carbonara just to please the locals). On each table there is little bottle of olive oil and the menu includes liquors such as Sambuca, Amaretto and Limoncello (the ideal way to finish a meal in Italy). The service was quite good too. I was under the impression that the Italian chef would rather loose customers, than change traditional recipies just to please them. I love this!

Not very Italian to be honest...Not many people here but alittle background music was missing.Food was only ok..no real wow factor..My main pasta dish was nice but missed out with too much cream and no real fresh herbs as normal Italian dishes would have.Dessert of apply pie was awful, very dry with bits of skins left on from lack of preparation.Nice selection of wine.Service was poor kept repeating items like water etc even though it was very quiet.Don't know if we will return.
