I choose to eat here on a regular basis, mostly as takeaway.I love the mix of spices in the curries and the flavours rarely disappoint. The rice is always perfectly cooked and the naan breads generally cooked well and not burnt.I have eaten in many Indian restaurants around the world, particularly in Australia. A major complaint i would have with this restaurant however is the meat or poultry in the dishes. 99 times out of 100, the meat is overcooked and hard. Although i have also experienced undercooking of the beef on perhaps 10 or more occasions - it was very pink. The chicken used is definitely not free range and not the best quality. It is cut into huge chunks which do not look pretty. I am not convinced the chicken is cooked on the same day. It is a shame as the meat lets down the dishes immensely. I have tried beef, lamb and chicken. The seafood is always cooked well. Overall i love the spice mix and it is the most authentic Indian i have tried in Cork. The takeaway menu is better value than dining in. I think the introduction of an early bird menu would help boost business as the restaurant part always seems quiet which is hard to understand as the food is divine. I would love to see this restaurant continue. Over the past few months the owner has introduced thai dishes to the menu and now refers to itself as multi-cusine on the menu. This was done probably to boost business but it is very confusing. I think stick to what you know and what you are good at. Offer early bird specials, advertise and excite people with the cuisine - tell stories of where the dishes orginated from etc.

a group of 4 of us had dinner here. we ordered chicken tandoori, chicken patia(sweet & sour curry), lamb & beef (can't remember the sauce's name).we thought the food is rather blend & tasteless, like they have been out of ready made packet. the portions were also small, and the pilau rice accompanying the dish was nothing close to the real pilau rice we have tasted. The price is also higher than other Indian restaurants around the vicinity. we expected better food but this has really let us down.
