this was my first time going to this restaurant. It was recommended by the friend who i went with. We went for the early tea time menu who was good value. There was a wide selection on the menu and everyone could something they liked. the food was delicious. No fault at all. The service was excellent. There provided us with prawn crackers before our starter which were very nice. The staff were very nice and hekpful. will definitely go back again and recommended to a friend.

I was in Cork for the night on business and not knowing where to go took a chance on the Ambassador. It was very busy but they managed to find us a table, not a great one, it was away from the main part and in a corner, but we were glad to get one without a booking. The staff are very friendly and efficient but be prepared for their prices. It is not cheap! Having said that the food was very good, apart from my starter. I had the curry puffs which were greasy and didn't have much filling. They could do with more inside because all I could taste was greasy pastry. For my main I had the Shredded Chicken in a basket Peking Style and it was absolutely gorgeous. I loved it. My colleague had the spare ribs which were really plump and juicy and for his mains he had the Beef Fillet Black Pepper Chinese Style which again was really good. The beef was really tender and tasty. Also, the fried rice was light and fluffy. We had coffee and they give you free refills which is something you rarely get in Dublin! The restaurant was buzzing and the staff were very good so apart from the curry puffs and the price I was very happy and will definitely visit again when I'm next in Cork.

Had to cancel a reservation before xmas because of snow but finally got to eat in this restaurant after new years - and was very impressed. We had the set menu for 5, loads of food, all freshly prepared. The Hot and Spicy soup was delicious as was the pork in sweet and sour. Lovely chinese tea to finish off, very impressive over all and will certainly return. The service was excellent by the way, very accommodating to an extra person who joined our group late.
