Dined here while staying at the Liscannor bay Logues hotel . As it was across the road it was a must to try. A great athmosphere in the area with people outside chatting, drinking and relaxing.. The decor is nautical and in keeping with the area and made pleasant dining, The staff were friendly but the service was a little slow but the wine helped to pass the time. Prices were a bit expensive for recessionary times in a small village in West Clare but the food was good and a great night was had by all.

A must visit after the Cliffs of moher, what a fantastic place this is! Everything on the menu is as fresh as it could possibly be. The crab claws are excellent, as are the pot of mussels. Our visitors were highly impressed with Vaughan's. Keep up the good work!

Delicious meal in Liscannor! Vaughans is a great spot for foodies in Co. Clare. The pub is very welcoming and as a traditional bar has all the atmosphere that you would expect. The back of the bar has many tables well spaced out and decorated with large old prints of Liscannor harbour. Service was extremely friendly and prompt. An amuse bouche of mushroom soup with a truffle foam was excellently presented in a cappuchino cup on a slate and glass ‘saucer’. We tried a crab starter which was served with a cucumber jelly and wasabi caviar. Excellently presented and plenty of fresh crab meat that was enjoyed with freshly baked breads. For mains, we enjoyed a cote de boef served with béarnaise sauce, onion rings and chips. The beef was a massive ‘on the bone’ cut that was very tasty. Too full for desert we drank the rest of our Argentinean Malbec and settled the €90 bill. A must for dinner or lunch if you are in the Clare region.
