Knox's Restaurant 4.0 star review: I visited this restaurant last Saturday night. It was ticking over not what I would call exceptionally busy. I had Duck Springroll for starter and my partner had goats cheese tartlet. There was a lack of duck in the springroll and it was tastless. My partners tartlet was burnt.
Main course of pork belly and surf and turf. Prawns were overcooked and the fillet of beef very heavily seasoned - I must add that I take very little salt so it maybe overseasoned for my taste.

Service was excellent and staff very friendly. Food was fine but did not blow me away in any shape or form

Knox's Restaurant 3.5 star review: Not a bad place, one of the few places in Ennis you see full of tourists on a regular basis, so is recommended by all the local hotels. I really like the bar food in the pub as it is much better value for money but the restaurant itself does exactly what is says on the tin. Nothing too special but nice enough. Good portions and the service has always been good.

Knox's Restaurant 5.0 star review: Knox's is a great place for lunch or dinner. They have a full lunch menu, but I usually get the cheese burger. It is massive and a meal own its own even without chips - if you get lunch here you really should try one. Dinner in the upstairs dinning area is also worth mentioning. The wife and I have been here a few times and they always have great service and very good food. The portions are also very generous and the prices very reasonable. They also had a highchair for my son, which was brilliant, as many places I find for whatever reason don't have highchairs.
