Cullinan's Seafood Restaurant and Guest House 5.0 star review: We visited Cullinan's on our last night in Clare. We had been out all day, driving around Clare and were pushing it a bit for time, but we were given a friendly welcome, and led in to the cosy dining room.

We had seafood chowder and crabmeat for starters, and hake and scallops for mains. The food was perfect. The presentation was to a really high standard, and all dishes were absolutely delicious. The service was also just great - professional, yet friendly and unpretentious.

Overall, we had a great experience here, and definitely intend to return next time we are in this part of the country.

Cullinan's Seafood Restaurant and Guest House 4.0 star review: Beautiful layout, both interior and exterior decor. A small but comfortable restaurant dining room, we booked a table for four and were seated at the window, with a beautiful view. Before our starters we were given a basket of bread, three varieties; garlic dough bread, tomato/olive/onion and brown bread, all homemade and warm. Such a great bread effort!
For starter i ordered the Crispy Fried Brie, served with red onion relish. The presentation was brilliant, presented on a slate plate with floral leaves. Really tasty, perfect breadcrumbs and soft gooey cheese. The relish and extra red fruits added fresh tangy flavors to the brie. Very delicious starter, and perfect size too.
For main course i ordered the Corn-Fed Stuffed Chicken. It was served on a bed of softened spinach, with roasted garlic, floral leaves, beetroot coulis and sides of crunchy green beans and carrots. Fantastic! The chicken was very succulent, the red pepper stuffing was refreshing and all the vegetables were cooked al dente. Pototoes were unneeded, though the were also served (boiled).
As for dessert, there was a great range to choose from, and i opted for the Vanilla Panna Cotta with Red Berry Coulis. It was a creamy, light pudding and the bitter berry coulis goes perfectly with it, in a sweet-and-sour marriage. Everything was perfectly portioned.
The others all enjoyed their meals too, from start to finish; everything was tasty and satisfying. The staff was very good, i highly recommend dining at Cullinan's. €37 pp for four people, three-course-meal.
