Cherry Tree Restaurant 5.0 star review: Superb dining experience!! First time dining after hearing numerous compliments from friends about Cherry Tree. Excellent service and never felt rushed, as so many restaurants do today. My wife and I went for a romantic dinner and it was perfect. Great fresh food. I had the fish which was cooked to perfection and my wife had the lamb chops also prepared to perfection. Side dishes were well prepared and tastefully balanced with each entree. There was an exceptional wine list reasonably priced to choose from. A great dinner with an amazing view to enjoy between courses. Thank you for an enjoyable evening.

Cherry Tree Restaurant 3.0 star review: For all the awards outside on the wall i was expecting a fantastic meal but I think I was getting my hopes too high.
For a starter I had veggie spring rolls with a mango chutney but they might as well have given me vinegar with the spring rolls, the chutney didn't taste anything of mango.
For mains I had chicken with tagliatelle dressed in basil pesto, there was no taste from the pesto although they did cook the chicken beautifully and it was still moist.
On a better note the wine was delicious and there was a good choice from all over the world from what i could see.
The setting of the restaurant is a picture and is decorated in a homely manner.
Service was a little to be desired, the waitress started to stack our plates and when someone called her they were left on the table, not great.

Cherry Tree Restaurant 5.0 star review: We had a wonderful meal here. I choose the excellent value 5 course set menu for E37 while my companion choose off the a la carte menu. Even though they were not going for the set menu they were also served with the amuse bouche and the sorbet which I thought was a lovely gesture. Everything was of a high quality i.e. food, presentation and service. I had asparagus spears wrapped in pancetta with a filling for starter and fillet of hake fish on a bed of chorizo, chickpeas, etc for mains. My companion had crab spring rolls and fillet steak which were succulent. The dessert, a warm chocolate fondant with baileys panna cotta and orange icecream in a brandy basket were sublime. I was amazed at how professional the service was with only one member to the waiting staff, discreet and timely. An excellent meal and incredible value at E100.00 for 5 and 4 courses respectively and a bottle of wine. We will be back!!!

Cherry Tree Restaurant 3.0 star review: Me and friend dined here recently and were overall disappointed. Not because of the food but because of the service. We enjoyed the meal itself but the service on the night would not encourage us to go back. There were two waitresses on the night. While the lady who dealt with us (for the most part) was friendly, she was not very focused or professional. The lady who dealt with our bill was very unfriendly and barely acknowledged us as I paid and as she handed us back our coats. After spending €100 on a meal for two with only 1 bottle of wine and NO desserts, we were expecting far more customer service. Although, we did not have dessert, we did order coffee which took an age to be served (despite it being 11pm and there weren't many diners left) and without the Petit Fours that were supposed to be served, as per the menu. One other complaint we have is that they started clearing tables around us while we were eating which is normal, but they used horrible polish to do this, which was very overpowering and really intruded on our meal. It's a shame that the Customer Service side of things here were so bad as the food is good and the restaurant is nice. Everyone is looking for value for money these days (that includes great food, service and setting) and we didn't find this at the Cherry Tree.

Cherry Tree Restaurant 5.0 star review: My husband my myself ate here on Friday. We chose the early bird menu which worked out as €26 each for a starter, main course and desert. I thought this was excellent value.

The atmosphere was quiet and friendly, with a pretty view of the lake at the back of the restaurant.

The staff was all really friendly, professional and attentive. They gave us enough time to select our food and enough time inbetween courses to allow the food to settle, without taking too long to serve.

The main course - fillet of sea trout - was delicious. I was very impressed with how tasty and moist it was.

I really enjoyed eating at the Cherry Tree and would definitely recommend it and go back again.

Cherry Tree Restaurant 4.0 star review: A group of us dined here before Christmas and it was an absolute treat.
We dined from the Christmas menu and found it to be real value for money with 5 courses.
The food was full of flavour, freshness and wholesome. You could almost get the smell of the sea from the fish and the meats were full of flavour I think possibly organic.
Staff were extremely efficient and pleasant there was in actual fact a real air of professionalism. The ambiance, food service, and setting gave us a most memorable evening. I will certainly be back as will many of my friends, well done Cherry Tree take a bow.
