This golf club delights my heart in every possible way. I love the atmosphere and buzz in the bar. Went in for just a glass of wine or two and the food looked so tempting we could not resist eating there that evening. The presentation, the service, the menu and the food left nothing to be desired. I love the views from the bar and the Christmas decorations and the Marque added to the fairytale ambiance of this truly magnificant place. Some great walks in the vacinity of the club with ample parking make this a perfect place for a complete day out.

This is not an experience I'm gonna repeat. The surroundings are great and the buildings and the decor promise so much. But that's all it is a promise. We were ignored for 20 minutes, yet there quite a lot of staff available. When we ordered, the staff were functional but not especially friendly, and the food, god the food. Make no mistake, it's tasteless, it's bland, it's awful, it really is, I couldn't believe it, I was entertaining friends, and this was really not a good venue choice. I don't know how they do it, but if you want to be wholly and utterly disappointed as we were, no wait, don't do it! It's not worth it, and after paying for it, you feel pretty foolish parting with such hard earned monies for such poor poor quality. This is possibly the anti-restaurant of the year... Don't bother, I wish I hadn't!

Darbys bar has an amazing view over the golf course and Atlantic ocean .. so try and get the window seats. We were very surprised that the bar menu was very reasonably priced, and ordered a beef burger and ‘bangers and mash’ from a local butchers. Service was prompt and clinical. The burger was extremely good… however the chips looked like they were bought in frozen and we thought that ‘homemade’ chips would have been better. The bangers and mash was excellent..and served with a red wine based sauce. Overall a good tasty lunch that totaled €35 with a glass of wine.
