Radisson SAS - Cavan 4.5 star review: Came here with my husband for an anniversary dinner. We both loved it. Food was fab. My hubby got salmon and he absolutely loved it, we are going back next month for 2 nights and he already knows what hes ordering :-)

Radisson SAS - Cavan 4.0 star review: Came here for Valentines evening meal with my partner. Was happy with the special valentines menu. I wasn't overly pushed on the open-plan lay out, but the atmosphere was nice. The starters were nice, (egg-plant tower and venison) although a little bland, was missing a kick of something. I enjoyed my mains (herb encrusted salmon) but my partner found his rack of lamb to be quite fatty. The mash and veg on the other hand were cooked to perfection. Nice valentines day themed deserts too

Radisson SAS - Cavan 0.5 star review: Went to this resaurant last week with my husband. We both had the soup for starters, it was bland and I couldn't eat mine. For the main I had beer battered fish with chips and my husband had the shepards pie. The vegetables that came with the pie were 'tough as old boots' the pie itself was bland as was my fish.... When we were paying they asked us what our food was like and I said it wasn't nice and very very bland. They didn't say sorry or anything just that both dishes were their popular ones!!! I didn't want to know if it was popular or not!! He then went onto say 'did we eat it'?!? I said yes because we were hungry and that it says on their menu to allow 30min for hot food! So basically it was tough luck... He didn't even offer a complimentary coffee or anything.. I would not go to this restaurant again and definetely would not recommend it. I was so disgusted that I now volunteer telling people how terrible it is and joined this website to warn others!!

Radisson SAS - Cavan 4.0 star review: Four of us visited for Sunday buffet lunch - very good value at €25 and strange that it doesn't feature on the menupages site.We didn't book but there was no problem accommodating us. There was a huge range on offer and the seafood starters, in particular, were great. Main courses were mostly traditional carvery and buffet style and to my mind not as attractive. For those who had room there was also a great range of desserts. I would be happy to recommend it.

Radisson SAS - Cavan 4.0 star review: I don't think the architect has been successful in his design of the outside of this hotel, which involves extensions to either side of the former great house of Lord Farnham. But I stayed there overnight and had a fabulous experience. I have never seen a more beautiful pool area. I ate in the main dining room (the Botanica) for dinner and enjoyed it enormously. It was not cheap, but for such a hotel it was reasonably priced. I had soup followed by a beautiful presentation of sliced lamb over a delicious bed of vegetables. It was really good, the only possible complaint being that it could have been hotter. A glass of house wine complemented the meal perfectly. The service was efficient an friendly and I certainly hope to visit this place again.

Radisson SAS - Cavan 1.5 star review: We stayed over here last night, and booked a table in the restaurant for dinner at 1930. Its a beautiful dining room, full of natural light and soothing colours. For my starter I went for the cheese souflee, which was really lovely. For my main, i went for the steak & i asked for it to be cooked medium. When it arrived it was more than well done, and very tough. there was no way it was anywhere near medium, so i told the waitress & she huffed off with it, making it very clear she wasn't happy with me sending it back. I had to wait 15 minutes until i got the replacment, and it was even more well done than the first effort. No way was I settling for it, so i told them that I didn't want it, and didn't want anything in replacement. The manager was very helpful, and comped us our bottle of wine, which was good. Still, it wasn't a very good dining experience, and i wont be going back.

Radisson SAS - Cavan 1.0 star review: Went to the Radisson for a Charity dinner on Saturday last. Room was well laid out, 10 to a table, nice and comfortable. Waiter was far too quick out of the blocks taking the food orders, we had only sat down. No choice with starters (soup) or dessert lemon tart with raspberry ice cream), it was beef or cod for main course; The soup was good. Beef was not great, I expect thick carved pieces of beef, not skinny streaks. Served with the most deformed looking Yorkshire pudding I've ever seen. Gravy had been set and a skin had formed on top. Dessert was a lemon tart with ice cream so hard it was like rock. 2 desserts were eaten on our table. 8 taken away... untouched.
Was really disappointed overall, a hotel with great potential but which really failed to impress on this night.

Radisson SAS - Cavan 0.5 star review: went for sunday lunch with husband 4 daughters and a grandchild. it was rather late when we arrived around 2.45pm but lunch is served until 3.30. very little choice of carvery. it was a take it or leave it type of menu.we asked for baby high chair and a very dirty one was set at the table by a very unfriendly waitress. over rated and very expensive. would not recommend or return.

Radisson SAS - Cavan 1.0 star review: We went for a meal in the Restaurant on good friday. The Restaurant was busy and we were seated straight away by the window. The waiter was not very friendly and seemed to be run off his feet and a bit fed up with the day. We did not have starters as the choice was limited and very expencive. We both had fillet steak and mine was like carpet but my GF's was perfect. I complained about my steak being tough and was told "it was because it was the way it was hung" which was total rubbish. The chocolate dessert was good but I would not eat in the restaurant again. Maybe try the bar food the next time.
