Four of us had lunch on Wednesday afternoon, June 1st. The serving staff practically ignored us. The service was very slow. When the meals did arrive, the pork meals were smothered in thick brown sauce as was the turkey and ham. The seafood combination was fine. We were waiting a long time to have the table cleared and had to request a waitress to do it. We also had to request the dessert menu and they were slow being served. The desserts were fine as was the tea/coffee.

Not impressed with service here at all. I realise there was a wedding on in hotel but several staff members walked past us while we were trying to get their attention. The female manager seemed very distracted and not at all happy when we asked about afternoon tea!!!!

Can't believe this restaurant hasn't had any reviews yet! We discovered it a few weeks ago and have been several times since then. On our first visit they were having a musical evening with live singing from a tenor and a violinist followed by a Ceili. The food is always lovely, service is always friendly, lovely atmosphere with a large open fire in the winter months and the staff always have a smile on their faces. Good value for money too with starters, main course, soft drinks for the driver and bottles of wine for the 3 others coming in at just over €100 (coming from Dublin I would be expecting to pay a lot more than that up there). Only downside (to me at least as my hearing's not great and this stops me hearing my companions when they talk to me) is that there's a bar in the restaurant which can get a bit noisy when there's a lot of people in there that know each other. This will definitely become or regular restaurant,
