Myself and 3 friends meet there for lunch, the dinning room was basic, no table clothes or place mats, we had no napkins on our table, when I asked the waitress for them she came and placed 4 on the edge of table, no on each person place as I would expect from a 4 star hotel, during our meal the watress keep comong over to our table and interrupting our convercation during service asking us personal questions about why were out for lunch, ect ect. I don't mind a chat but interrupting and asking personal is questions is not 4 star standard. We went into the lobby took a seat, 2 of our party decided to take a walk outside, they asked the man on the desk for use of a umbrella, during the conversation with the person he decided to tell a jokes which is okay, but for to include 2-3 f words again is not very classy in my view. The Russell Court should consider retraining there staff, as I would not recommend bring anymore of my friends there.

Absolutely fabulous dining experience. We love everything from the atmosphere to the food. The fantastic piano playing also adds another special touch to what is always a first class experience.

I am wheat free, so gluten free bread was offered, instead of soup rolls. The main course was delicious, and the there was plenty to go round, though second were offered. Service was excellent. If anything was to be changed I would suggest that the lighting be lowered as it was very bright.

Two of us enjoyed a great meal here. Our starters of smoked salmon and prawns were delicious and we would strongly recommend the sea bass. My dessert of pavlova roulade was okay but not up to the same standard as the rest of the meal - I felt it might have been sitting around a little too long. There were no complaints about the strawberry and apple crumble. Overall, a very pleasant experience if a little on the expensive side.

I'm normally not a fan of hotel restaurants but this was the best meal I've had in a long time. From the ham hock soup, to the fillet steak and the assiette of desserts everything was just perfect. Service was top class. I would strongly recommend a visit.

I eat here with my boyfriends family on New Years Day. The complimantery bread was delicious. I skiped the starter and went for the main course, which was the cod in batter with a side of garlic potatoes. The cod in batter was to die for, it was nice and light and the garlic potatoes were delicious! For desert I got the selection of creme brule which were very tasty. Everyone enjoyed ther meal even the young children. The only down thing I have to say is that it was a bit too expensive compaired to other restaurants I've eatin in reacently as it didnt seem to have an early bird or specials.
