Am amazed that this will be the first comment on what i can only describe as a beautiful place. Nice staff and excellent food really compliment eating here. Had soup to start complimented with brown wholesome bread. I think there was a choice of 3 for main course, but I went for roasted bacon. This main course was enormous, had potatoes and 3 vegs to keep the bacon company on the plate. But, it's the desserts that makes this place excel. I cannot be ceretain, but I would say I was presented with a choice of 10 different desserts- ALL beautifully presented. I opted for the chocolate cake and fresh cream, all washed down with an excellent coffeee, with a nice biscuit as an accompanyment. This place works as a carvery. You pay at the till, and they give You vouchers for whatever else You want after the course You are paying for. Works extrememly well. The music in the background was just perfect, and the whole feeling was superb. Yes, Rathwood, may be a hidden treasure. I won't stop singing it's praises.

A haven for gluten free food. Rathwood is always busy with a lively yet homely atmosphere. One of the few places where you can get a gluten free sandwich and dessert!! The staff are very friendly and accomodating. only downside is that the sandwich menu is a little overpriced, sometimes it works out at the same price as a dinner. But the food is of homemade standard and top quality.

I love the desserts in rathwood they are to die for. They are pricey but teh portions are large. If you can not finish it you can ask for a take away carton. A perfect location to ramble around the shop and the grounds then once you've worked up a hunger have a coffee/wine and a dessert. The banoffie pie is delish
