Greens Restaurant @ Reddys Of Carlow 4.5 star review: Note: This is for Reddy's bar food, not the restaurant.
My Mam, sister and I always go out to celebrate Little Christmas and this year we decided to go to Reddy's.
We went in about 4.30 on Saturday, to a fairly quiet but not dead pub! We got lovely comfy seats in one of the booths on the lovely couches towards the back of the pub.
There was great variety on the menu.
We had brie fritters, garlic mushrooms and pate for starters. They brought us out lovely fresh brown bread and some melba toast before the starters arrived. There was just the right amount of salad with each starter and good size portions of each.
All 3 of us chose the special steak, (think it's called golfers special). It came with mushrooms, onions, salad, sauce and chips all for €19.95.
I ordered mine medium to well and that's exactly what it was.
There was a big dessert menu and we had pavlova, cheesecake and trifle. The only problem with the desserts was that we were too full after all the lovely food!
The bill came to € 105 for all the above, 2 coffees, 1 tea, a small bottle of wine, a coke and a lucozade. Excellent food and value. I'll definitely be visiting Reddy's again.
