For the weekend me and my OH decided we would treat ourselves into our favourite restaurant in Carlow. Lotus! Usually we'd go quite late in the evening but we were going out early with a couple of friends so we went in about 7. To find that they have an excellent deal for early bird. 15.50 for a two course meal with a glass of wine! I've never seen such a good deal in town. We went for that and added 8euros to get a bottle of wine to share instead of the 2 glasses of free wine, Very tasty food, gorgeous wine not those cheap house wine some places gives you. Excellent service. And Fortune cookies! lol Love this restaurant, love the deal. Will totally recommend it to others as well.

Set menu was very well priced with a good range of options and generous portions. Floor staff were good but however we were waiting a while for our food. Excellent location with plenty of parking. Best - Aromatic crispy duck Worst - Overly salty chicken and sweetcorn soup Overall a satisfying meal and a place we would recommend to anybody looking for a good feed at a good price!
